Born in the mountain state of Guerrero, Isaias is a native speaker of the Tlapaneco language. This is an indigenous language in danger of extinction; few people currently speak it. His parents decided to move to Ensenada many years ago due to a lack of money and work in their village of origin.

In Baja California, they have found an opportunity to provide their children with the studies and care they need. His school is special since, in addition to being bilingual (indigenous language and Spanish), it has the capacity to offer shelter to low-income children who come from far away and need to sleep and eat there.
